THE BASE CAMP "VYSOTNIK"
Welcome to the base camp “Vysotnik” !
It is situated in a picturesque place at the right bank of the river Katun, opposite the village of Tungur (the camp belongs to the company «LenAlpTours», St. Petersburg). It is the starting point for all foot and horse treks to the Alataian gem – Mount Belukha (4506 meters above sea level) which are organized by «LenAlpTours».
MOUTAIN SHELTER "AK-KEM"
It is the upper camp of LenAlpTours company.
It is located on altitude of 1950 meters in the forest part of the Ak-Kem ravine, at the bank of the Ak-Kem River, 1.5 km lower than the lake of the same name.

The story is written in order to show you the abundance of favourable reasons to visit the base camp “Vysotnik”, hiding no disadvantages of such a tour.
In the camp “Book of reviews” there is an interesting note: one tourist called the trek from “Vysotnik” to mount Belukha she has participated “the tour to the world's end”. Wonderful!
